Now that you’re signed in, let’s get oriented. This is a friendly flyover of the whole interface — each stop links to a deep-dive article when you want the full detail.

The left sidebar

Running down the far-left edge is the Sidebar — your permanent home base. It’s always there, whatever you’re browsing.

  • At the top, My Favorites opens a flyout of everything you’ve starred. See Favorites.
  • Below it, a row of five filter tabs: Favorites, All, SharePoint, Teams, and OneDrive. They narrow the list underneath to just that kind of workspace.
  • A “Filter…” box lets you type to instantly narrow the list.
  • The list itself shows your sites, teams, and OneDrive. Hover any row and a star appears so you can pin it to Favorites on the spot.

The full breakdown is in The Dockli workspace.

The breadcrumb bar

Across the top sits the navigation bar:

  • Back and Forward chevrons walk through your navigation history — just like a browser.
  • On the left, the Dockli wordmark doubles as a Home button. Click it any time to jump straight back to the dashboard.
  • As you drill into folders, a breadcrumb shows your path (Site › Library › Folder). Deep paths collapse the middle into a button you can click to see the hidden segments.

Home — the dashboard

Dockli always opens on Home. Front and center is the search omnibox — a big search pill with the hint “Find a file, or ask me to organize your workspace…” Start typing to search across this PC and Microsoft 365. Full details in Searching.

To the right of the omnibox is the ✦ AI Mode toggle. Flip it on and the search bar becomes a conversation with Ask Dockli, the built-in assistant (included with the Spark plan). Get started at Ask Dockli overview and Using the assistant.

The file grid

Click into any site, library, or folder and the dashboard is replaced by the file grid — a clean, sortable list of your files and folders with columns that adapt to how deep you are. Double-click to drill in or open. Right-click for the full menu. Everything about it is in Browsing and opening and File operations.

Split View

Need to compare two locations, or move files between them? The Split View button on the right of the header opens a second pane side by side, so you can drag between them like a classic dual-pane file manager. A draggable divider lets you resize. See The Dockli workspace and Copy and move across sites.

The header buttons

Over on the right of the header you’ll find, depending on where you are:

  • AI Mode — ask the assistant about the folder you’re in.
  • Recycle Bin — inside a SharePoint site, view and restore deleted items. See Recycle Bin.
  • Split View — toggle the second pane.
  • Refresh — re-pull the current view.

The account menu

Top-right, showing your tenant name and avatar, is the account menu. Open it to switch between accounts, Add another account, reach Settings, or Sign out. If you work across more than one organization, Multiple accounts is for you.
