Dockli is a Windows app that puts your entire Microsoft 365 file estate — SharePoint sites, Teams, OneDrive and Hub Sites — directly into the Windows File Explorer navigation pane, right below This PC. No browser tabs, no sync folders, no duplicate copies on disk. It’s the Explorer you already know, with everything docked in.
What you get
- Every workload in one tree. Hub Sites, SharePoint sites, the SharePoint behind your Teams, and your personal OneDrive — all browsable from File Explorer.
- Version history & restore. View a file’s full version trail and restore any earlier version without opening a browser.
- Inline SharePoint metadata. Edit columns and properties — status, category, people, dates — straight from the details view, written back to SharePoint instantly.
- Everyday power tools. Favorites, folder colors, a recycle bin, and copy/move across SharePoint sites (and even across tenants).
- Ask Dockli — a built-in AI assistant. Chat, dictate, search in plain language and diff documents, all scoped to files you can already access. (Included with the Spark plan.)
Who Dockli is for
| Audience | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Everyday users | Get to Microsoft 365 files the way you already work — in File Explorer — and stop hunting through the SharePoint web UI. |
| IT administrators | Approve once for the whole tenant, deploy a per-user app with no admin rights, and manage seats through a Microsoft Entra security group you already control. |
| Security & compliance teams | No tokens in the browser, encryption at rest, loopback-only networking, and access that never widens beyond a user’s existing Microsoft 365 permissions. |
How it fits together
Dockli has three parts that work invisibly together:
- A File Explorer integration (a Windows shell extension) adds the Dockli entry to the navigation pane and hosts Dockli’s interface inside Explorer.
- A small local service on your machine talks to Microsoft 365 on your behalf and keeps your access token out of the interface entirely.
- Ask Dockli connects to a governed AI service (Azure OpenAI, reached through a secure gateway) that only ever sees what you can see.
Two plans
Essential gives you the full file experience in File Explorer. Spark adds Ask Dockli, the AI assistant. See Plans for a full comparison.
