Start with a free trial
Every Dockli plan starts with a free first month so you can evaluate the full experience before you commit.
- Start free — install Dockli and sign in with your Microsoft 365 work or school account.
- No charge during the free month — evaluate the product without payment.
- Cancel anytime — cancel before the free month ends and you pay nothing.
Trials use the same app
There’s no separate trial build. You run the real Dockli app during the trial, so whatever you evaluate is exactly what you’ll roll out. If you trial Spark, you get Ask Dockli included from day one.
When the free month ends, a marketplace subscription simply continues onto paid billing (cancel beforehand if it isn’t for you); direct customers purchase seats to continue. Either way, your Microsoft 365 files are never touched. See Per-seat licensing.
How to buy
Dockli is a per-seat subscription with two purchase routes:

Buying directly supports purchase orders and is the right path when you need:
- A formal quote and invoice against a PO,
- Volume pricing for larger seat counts,
- Education or non-profit pricing,
- Custom terms tailored to your organization.

Upgrading Essential to Spark
Moving a seat — or your whole organization — from Essential to Spark turns on Ask Dockli, the AI assistant, along with priority support. Nothing about your files changes; Spark is a strict superset of Essential (see Plans).
- Bought on AppSource? Change the plan on your Dockli subscription in the Microsoft 365 admin center (Billing → Your products) — the change syncs to your tenant automatically.
- Bought directly? Contact the Dockli team to adjust your subscription.
Because plan assignment flows through the Entra access group, you can upgrade a few power users to Spark while the rest of the organization stays on Essential — you don’t have to move everyone at once. See Per-seat licensing.
Mix plans freely
Essential and Spark can coexist in the same tenant. Assign the plan that fits each team, and change it later with no reinstall — the switch takes effect at the next entitlement check.
