Step 1 — Download the installer

Download the Windows installer from the download page, or use the direct link your IT team shared. The file is named Dockli-win-Setup.exe.

Licensed by your organization?

If your organization licenses Dockli for you, your IT admin may push the installer for you and approve it tenant-wide first. See Deploy to your tenant.

Step 2 — Run it

  1. Double-click Dockli-win-Setup.exe.
  2. Because Dockli installs per-user, you won’t see a “this app needs administrator permission” prompt.
  3. The installer:
    • Sets Dockli up under your user profile,
    • Registers the File Explorer integration,
    • Refreshes Explorer so the Dockli entry appears in the navigation pane immediately.
  4. No reboot is needed.

The whole thing takes about two minutes on a typical connection.

Step 3 — Open Dockli in File Explorer

  1. Open File Explorer (Win + E).
  2. In the left navigation pane, below This PC, click Dockli.
  3. The first time you open it, Dockli starts in the background and shows a sign-in prompt.

Continue to Signing in to connect your Microsoft 365 account.

Don't see the Dockli entry?

Close every File Explorer window and open a new one, or sign out and back in to Windows. Full steps are in Troubleshooting installation.

Staying up to date

Dockli updates itself silently in the background — you’re always on a current, supported version with no prompts and nothing to download manually. Fully quitting and reopening Dockli lets it pick up the newest update immediately if you want to force it.

Uninstalling

Dockli removes cleanly like any per-user app:

  1. Open Settings → Apps → Installed apps.
  2. Find Dockli and choose Uninstall.
  3. Uninstalling removes the File Explorer integration and clears Dockli’s local data, including your encrypted sign-in cache. Your seat is released back to your organization automatically.

Your Microsoft 365 files are never touched by installing or uninstalling Dockli — they always live in Microsoft 365.
