Skills (Web App)

A skill is a job Dockli AI does the same way every time. Pick one, say where, and Dockli does the rest — showing you the plan first if you'd like.

Last updated: October 2026

Skills are available in the Dockli Web App on the Spark plan. Each one is a set of instructions Dockli AI follows — the same way every time — on a folder you choose, or on your calendar, tasks and email.

Running a skill

You can start a skill from:

  • My skills on the Cockpit — your pinned favourites.
  • All skills (or the ⚡ button in the top bar) — the full Skills library.
  • Right-click a folder → Run skill — the skill uses that folder.
  • / in the Dockli AI box — type a slash to pick a skill.

A short wizard then asks for anything the skill needs:

  1. Where — the library or folder to work on, picked with the same tabs as the left panel (Favorites, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
  2. Details — any other inputs, such as a month or a team name.
  3. Review — what Dockli AI will do. Leave Show me the plan first on and every change waits for your OK.

Click Run skill. It runs in the Dockli AI panel on the right, where you can follow along, answer questions and approve changes. Minimise the panel to keep working; a small chip shows its progress.

Ready-made skills you can add in one click include:

SkillWhat it does
Tidy a folderSorts loose files into subfolders by type.
File invoicesMoves invoices into a month folder and renames them by supplier and invoice number.
New client setupCreates a client folder with a standard set of subfolders.
Archive old workMoves files not changed for a number of months into an Archive folder.
Monday catch-upSummarises your week’s meetings, due tasks and flagged emails, and drafts a team update.
Inbox to tasksSuggests a To Do task for each flagged email that needs action.
End-of-day wrapWhat you did today, what’s still open, and three priorities for tomorrow.
Find duplicates (built in)Opens the duplicate finder on a folder.

Adding a gallery skill you already have uses your copy rather than creating a second one.

Creating your own

  • Click New skill, describe the job in plain words, and Dockli AI drafts the instructions and inputs. Review and save.
  • Or, after a useful Dockli AI conversation, click Save as skill under the answer to turn it into a skill.

You can edit, copy or delete your skills from the Skills library (right-click a skill). Recent runs shows what ran, where and when, with Run again.

Good to know

  • Skills act with your own Microsoft 365 permissions — they can’t reach anything you can’t.
  • With Show me the plan first on, nothing changes until you approve. With it off, Dockli AI still asks before deleting unless Autonomous Mode is on.
  • Dockli AI only reports something as done when it actually succeeded; if it can’t do part of a job, it says so.
